The app has now been dated and the full game roster revealed. yeah.Capcom Arcade Cabinet is the new retro game app heading to PS3 and Xbox 360, giving players access to many old-school classics. Yes the artifacting and judder suck and should be fixed, but everyone yelling THE INPUT LAG IS INSANE when this came out. Progear is at 5 frames, which is the same as the esprade port to the console. He surmises that the switch natively adds 2frames to everything. I'd rather get the PS3 edition ported than have the games added to Arcade Stadium though. To be fair, the input lag in Final Fight does stand out as among the worst in this package, and I'm not sure why that is, but IIRC it's still slightly better than the 360/PS3 release. It's especially funny to me because the EXACT SAME THING happened when the Beat Em Up bundle came out, but you have people now holding those up as great ports to complain about the input lag in this package. For those not familiar, electric underground has a reputation for being extremely harsh (but IMO fair) on switch shmup port reviews. Really interesting analysis by electric underground on input lag. and honestly right now they could very well not be there since having the cab view really, REALLY shits the bed on performance.įix that Capcom and *if (*when, hopefully) you release more packs I’ll buy them all day1. I don’t give a rat’s ass about rewind and such and the cabs are cool but again I don’t give a shit about them if the one thing that really matters isn’t up to par. I paid to have this game and it’s basically unplayable -no, checking it out for half an hour to beat it by credit feeding/rewind is not what I’d consider playing it-). I just need them to fix the performance (no stutter/lost frames) and at lest reduce the input lag of the most egregious cases (Giga Wing is like. Frameskipping, stutter and awful lag are inexcusable for titles which can be run by a toaster at this point. And they’re light years behind Hamster’s releases, like if it really was “on par” there wouldn’t have been any problem for the vast majority of the people complaining.
There’s nothing even close to the quality of Gunbarich or Gunbird 2. ugh.ītw, I don’t think they’re better than the Psikyo ports at all. How fucking awful can this be, I only play handheld and I can’t imagine what it must be in docked mode if it’s “much worse” than that. Since they're using MAME I'd love it if future support could evolve past CPS2 to later arcade boards (CPS3, ZN1/2, maybe even Naomi) but I wouldn't count on it for at least a potential next round of games.
